Welcome to MAJICK-12, read below to find out more about our story.

City of Bundaberg, Queensland.
MAJICK-12 was founded in 2024 by Cohen M. Spessa in support of independent, civilian aerospace research and early-stage conceptual studies conducted outside of institutional or programmatic constraints.
The founder’s background is grounded in self-directed technical study, research synthesis, and long-form analytical work, drawing from publicly available scientific literature, historical aerospace programs, and established engineering principles. This approach allows for independent examination of ideas that are often discussed only at a high level or within narrow institutional contexts.
MAJICK-12 was founded & is based in the rural town of Bundaberg, Australia. Bundaberg holds a notable place in Australia’s aviation history as the birthplace of Bert Hinkler (1892–1933), one of the nation’s most significant early aviators. Hinkler built and flew early gliders locally before going on to achieve multiple world-firsts, including the first solo flight from England to Australia in 1928. His work helped demonstrate the feasibility of long-distance aviation at a formative stage of global flight.
MAJICK-12 acknowledges this regional legacy of independent experimentation and early aeronautical inquiry. The company’s presence in Bundaberg reflects a continuation of the area’s long-standing association with curiosity-driven aerospace exploration and disciplined technical thought.
Bundaberg’s coastal location, open airspace, and long association with engineering, maritime, and agricultural industries have historically supported practical experimentation and self-directed technical work. The region has a long tradition of applied problem-solving across engineering, manufacturing, and transport, contributing to a culture where practical experimentation and independent inquiry are a cultural norm.
